In 2006 I graduated as a Master in Visual Arts, option Illustration. In my last year of study I wrote and illustrated a picture book about a sad little duck. The book won the Illustrator's award City of Hasselt 2006 and was published in 2007. It has been nominated for the 'Boekenpauw 2008' which is the annual award for the best illustrated Belgian picture book and it won the Plantin Moretus Award 2008 for best designed picture book. The rights have already been sold to several countries including New Zealand, Australia, South-Korea, Japan, Canada and America.
After having lived in Wellington (New Zealand) for years, I now work from my little farm in Ghoy (french speaking part of Belgium) as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator for clients and publishers all over the world. I love illustrating for children but also like adult audiences. As you can see on this blog, my drawings vary from handmade (woodcut, paint, ink...) over computer techniques and everything in between.

Nice sense of design. Like your take on the water.
I love the water as well. The texture makes it look cold.
Nice work!
Nicely drawn illo ! He should worry when the water gets too warm where he lives :)
